BookForYou (trading as Blue Horizon Media Promotions Limited) acts as a booking agent. Our Refund Policy is aligned with the strict fare rules of the airlines we represent and UK travel regulations.
1. GENERAL REFUND RULES
1.1 The "No Cooling-Off" Period: Please note that the statutory "14-day cooling-off period" (under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013) does not apply to contracts for accommodation, transport, or leisure services on specific dates. Therefore, confirmed flight bookings do not have an automatic right of free cancellation.
1.2 Airline Restrictions: The majority of flight tickets sold on our website are Non-Refundable and Non-Changeable once issued.
1.3 Agency Role: As your agent, we can only process a refund if the Principal (Airline) authorizes it and returns the funds to us. We do not hold your ticket funds; they are passed to the airline immediately upon booking.
2. CANCELLATION BY YOU (VOLUNTARY)
If you wish to cancel your booking:
- Refundable Tickets: If you purchased a flexible/refundable fare, we will process the refund according to the airline's policy.
- Non-Refundable Tickets: If your ticket is non-refundable, you will lose the full cost of the fare.
- Tax Refunds: On some non-refundable tickets, you may be entitled to a refund of unused Government Taxes. However, we charge an administration fee (see Section 4) to process this, which may sometimes exceed the value of the taxes themselves.
3. CANCELLATION BY THE AIRLINE (INVOLUNTARY)
If the airline cancels your flight or makes a significant schedule change that you cannot accept:
- Full Refund: You are typically entitled to a full refund of the ticket cost.
- Processing Time: We must wait to receive the funds from the airline before refunding you. This process typically takes 8–12 weeks, depending on the airline's processing speed.
- Our Service Fees: Our initial Service/Booking Fees (paid at the time of booking) are for the service of searching and securing the ticket. These fees are non-refundable even if the flight is cancelled by the airline, as the service has already been performed.
4. ADMINISTRATION FEES
To cover the cost of processing claims with the airline, BookForYou charges the following fees. These are deducted from the final refund amount sent to you:
- Voluntary Cancellation Processing: £75.00 per passenger.
- Involuntary (Airline) Cancellation Processing: £35.00 per passenger.
- Tax-Only Refund Processing: £35.00 per passenger.
Note: If the refund amount is lower than our administration fee, no refund will be issued.
5. REFUND METHOD
- Original Source Only: To comply with anti-money laundering laws, refunds will only be processed to the original credit/debit card used for the booking. We cannot refund to a different account or person.
- Vouchers: If the airline offers a Travel Voucher instead of a cash refund, we will pass this voucher to you. Our administration fees still apply for managing this process.
